Adaptec or bust these days. The NCQ makes a big difference. Sounds like a driver issue.

I was hoping someone else had been down this road already and knew what the status was – it’s an 8tb RAID 6 array right now, and don’t really want to back up everything, install Windows 10, find it out doesn’t work, and then scramble around trying to find a new card and transfer everything over.

Does anyone have any applications or software to give this RAID array a test as I really don’t want to order any more or roll them out on to the network to find that software raid would be a better improvement. Lxi it’s looking like I might not have much of a choice.
Only problem with Adaptec right now is the port placement on the cards, if they’d only take a leaf out of LSI’s book and make a version of the card with the mini-sas pointing to the top of the cards preferably near the bracket and not out the back of the cards then they really would be perfect in every single way.
Sorry this didn’t help. Ill try the 32bit version and see if there is any improvement. Join Date Mar Posts Originally Posted by TheWiseOne. SierraX Replied on November 27, Web Hosting Talk Team.

Just for the simplicity of the test, I have put them into a RAID0 formation for purely performance tests and no redundancy. Originally Posted by cacheflymatt.
